It is believed that there has to be a place you are coming from. In my case, that would be an Eastern European country ( that is, as you enter Europe ( a continent, not a country per se) you go East ), known as Romania. If it is to quote from CIA ( Central Intelligence? Agency ) Romania is "slightly smaller than Oregon".
I came about in 1974, in a heavily industrialized town known as Ploiesti. Local urban legends say that as the light hit my congested angry baby face, these words came out of my mouth: "What is wrong with you people, waking me up at 7:20 on a Saturday morning". Historical facts could not verify the above, but even nowadays I am waking up full of anger around 7:20, each and every Saturday.
All in all, I could say I had a crazy happy childhood. A great time in highschool. A complicated life in college. A bunch of amazingly good friends. A great family providing me with a great education and a good sense of morals. I have been part of a tough social context that helped me realize that it matters NOT what you can do or what you are "thinking about", if you do not ACT. You are what you DO.
In August 2001, as life goes on a funny route, I moved to US, in Gainesville, Florida. I started the MS program at UF in fall 2002 and finished in May 2004.
In June 2004, I started working as a software developer, in Gainesville, Florida.
And now, I know where I am, I know who I am but, do I know where am I heading to? As one of my favorite jokes sais:
