About Me
I am Lucian Badea. I was born in 1974, in the city of Ploiesti, Romania. Local urban legends say that, as the light hit my congested newborn face, these words came out of my mouth: "What is wrong with you people, waking me up at 7:20 AM on a Saturday morning". Historical facts could not verify the above, but even nowadays I am waking up full of anger around 7:20 AM, each and every Saturday.
I am holding a Masters in Computer Science from University of Florida and I am working as a Software Developer for a non profit organization local to Gainesville.
I discovered photography by accident, somewhere in 2004, when, at one time, I borrowed a friend's camera when visiting Disney World in Orlando, Florida. And after that day, I couldn't stop.
I discovered that there is a whole world of beauty out there and that there is so much meaning, life and history around us.
Due to our busy life, most of the time we miss the beauty surrounding us. For me, this stopped the moment I decided I won't go anywhere without my camera.
My life has changed since then. I now have my eyes wide open; I now see and feel. In my photographs, I am trying to share; share my vision of what we see around us and my vision of what makes us what we are. I am trying to share the beauty as I see it, I am trying to reinstate the feelings that I've had when the shot was taken.
It is my little contribution to this world. Insignificant and yet so very important to me.
