When time stands still
When I've first seen Gregory Colbert's photographs, I was speechless. Literally speechless. I couldn't talk for a while. I felt that the world wants me to shut up and look. And then look again. And for a while, I felt wise just for seeing. The quiet stillness, the Zen like feeling, senses suspended in time at their highest. The time of Gods and unknown heroes was there with me and it seemed that moments can last forever. The genius of simplicity, the wiseness of bare human nature were present in every single shot.
I felt humbled by his work. Gregory's genius and heart strike you on every frame. Perfectly composed, perfect light and transcendent mood; you can see so much and yet so little. Somehow, his imagery is bypassing consciousness and touches the roots of humanity. Once you've seen his works, you feel, at least for a while, complete. And you hope that time will stand still.
Take the journey.
